THE CATALANS MYSTERY

Dateline 30/6/95

Members of Waltham Forest's premier news team were gathering for their

weekly meeting. We sat in the hall discussiung our assignments and

editing some pretty breathtaking shots of the garden open day. At this

point I ask the help of our faithful readers, we have had reports that

M.P Iain Duncan-Smith attended the opening but none of the team saw him;

so if you have any photos of him please let me know.

Anyway we first had inklings that something was afoot as Barry entered

the hall pushing a trolley and distributed quiche and gateau. We then

made our way after cleaning cream and jelly (which reminds me I must

tell you about our street party) from unmentionable places, to the Page

Room

It was at this point that we found our traditional venue full ,rumours

were rife, they were CATALANS,

WHY WERE THEY HERE? WHAT WERE THEY?

Later I found out from Karen they were a group from Catalonia who had

visited WFAPD later that day. BUT WHY WERE THEY AT THE D.R.C?

P.S. They had among them a young man who turned all the female knees at

WFAPD to jelly..... damned clever them Catalans
